Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need a medical cannabis card/prescription from my doctor to purchase Doctor Solomon’s products?
It may depend on where you live. If you live in a state that only permits the sale of cannabis to registered medical cannabis patients, then a medical cannabis card is required for purchase. If you live in a state that allows the sale of cannabis to anyone of legal age, then a medical cannabis card is not required.
If you are interested in becoming a registered medical cannabis patient in your state, we recommend inquiring with a local dispensary and/or speaking with your physician.
- Can I use your products with other over-the-counter or prescription products?
We cannot provide medical advice. We recommend you speak with your physician about using any cannabis product with over-the-counter or prescribed medicine.
Should you experience adverse side effects, always let a medical professional know that you have consumed cannabis and an over the counter or prescription drug at the same time.
- Do you test your products?
We test our products throughout the production process, including potency, microbial contamination, and pesticides to ensure purity. If at any point during our internal testing we detect pesticides or microbial contamination, we destroy that batch. Our products are never tested on animals.
- Are the effects of transdermal topicals the same as smoking or eating cannabis products?
Transdermal delivery is quite different from other medicating methods, and research has shown it can be one of the most effective ways to deliver medicine into the body. The effects can be felt as quickly as a few minutes after applying. While transdermal topicals are designed for systemic relief, the effects may be more prominent directly on the area that you apply the product.
Like all medicines, an individual’s experience and dosage may vary based on age, body composition, diagnosis, and several other factors. Even what you eat may have an impact. Start low and go slow to find the right dosage for your body.
- What ingredients are in your transdermal topicals?
Powerful relief comes from more than cannabis alone. That’s why we thoughtfully selected fortifying ingredients for Doctor Solomon’s transdermal topicals. Ingredients like Beeswax, Calendula, Sea Buckthorn, Hydrolyzed Oats, and Niacinamide are infused in some of our lotions and balms. Ingredients may vary by state based on local regulations. Please see the packaging for the ingredients.
- Will your products make me feel high?
Maybe. The effects of each product vary based on a wide variety of factors, including how much you use and your body’s unique composition. For example, a light user of cannabis may have a different experience with a Doctor Solomon’s product than a heavier user. Talk with an associate at your local dispensary about what might be a good dose for you.
- Will I test positive for THC if I use your topicals?
It is possible. All of our topical products contain THC. Transdermal topicals penetrate the top layer of your skin and may reach the bloodstream for systemic relief.
- How long do the effects of the topicals last?
The effects vary by individual. We recommend starting low and going slow to determine the best dose for you and how long the effects of a single application lasts for your body. For best results, clean your skin before applying to remove oil and dirt. Apply multiple times each day to ease areas of discomfort. Once absorbed, you can apply additional layers to achieve adequate relief. Do not apply to broken skin or open wounds.
- What ingredients are in your Drops?
Doctor Solomon’s Drops are infused in coconut oil, selected for its established benefits of easy dosing and absorption in the body. We add essential oils to help round out the cannabinoid and terpene flavor profiles and provide a wide range of complimentary benefits.
- Do you use flower or trim for your RSO?
Authentic RSO uses premium cannabis flower because it contains a full-spectrum of cannabinoids, terpenes, and rich whole plant metabolites that cannot be found in trim alone. We follow Rick Simpson’s published method with laboratory-grade quality control. We start by harvesting, trimming, and flash-freezing premium quality flower. The frozen flower is then extracted in a sub-zero ethanol base to improve purity. After extraction, we filter out the leftover plant matter and remove the ethanol. Finally, we use decarboxylation to activate phytocannabinoids.
- What is the best way to consume Drops?
Start low. Go slow. For best results, drop and hold the liquid under the tongue for at least 30 seconds before swallowing. Avoid eating or drinking for a few minutes after consuming to improve sublingual absorption. Drops can also be infused in food and drinks, but the onset of full effects may take longer.
- Are there terpenes in your Drops?
Terpenes in each Drop will vary based on several factors, including the cannabis strains that are used for cannabinoid extraction. We recommend reviewing the packaging to determine the profile of your Drop.
